About the Spindle Shaper & Overhead Router
The spindle shaper is the profiling machine of the solid wood shop: rebates, grooves, tongue and groove, mouldings and shaped edges all come off the same 4 kW spindle. Choose a fixed spindle for straight profiling, a tilting spindle for compound profiles, or the H variant with a 1150 mm sliding table for safe cross-grain shaping of frame parts.
The MX-508A overhead router handles template and pattern work — cut-outs, recesses, hardware pockets and shaped components against a pin and template — at spindle speeds up to 18000 rpm.
