About the Cold Press
A cold press bonds laminate, acrylic, PVC laminate sheet and veneer to wooden panels using pressure alone, with no heating cycle. It is the simplest and most economical way to get a flat, fully bonded panel, and it stays useful in the shop long after other machines are added.
The structure is rigid, made from heavy duty MS channels and sections, so platen pressure stays even from edge to edge across a full 1250 × 2500 mm sheet. Twin oil cylinders and a 5.5 kW hydraulic pump give a fast approach and a controlled dwell.
